Comp-Consulting Business Solutions

       Comp-Consulting Business Solutions was founded February 1994.  My goals were to create a market where electronic tax filing services would be available in the local communities year-round. Secondly, the service would be offered at affordable prices.  Lastly, this relatively new service would be delivered within a professional atmosphere. Sounds easy, doesn't it?  However, it was quite a challenge.  The e-file industry had only emerged in the late 1980 (around 1987) on a test pilot basis. Officially starting in 1990 - 1991, Comp-Consulting (original name) was at the industry heels starting during the 1994 tax season. Thus, the forementioned goals were the vision I had undertaken simply as a disruptive strategy to gain market entrance as a sole proprietor among the "giant" - HR Block. 

        While the transformation of the industry was nurtured and developed through this breakthrough in technology, the retail application of the electronic filing service business was still "paper intensive".  For example, copies of W2's, signed 8453's, bank application for rapid refunds and quick checks, and other paper documents had to be submitted separately, as well as, maintained in a file. In addition to the need to respond to the Internal Revenue Service compliance requirements. In fact, the "Download" button on the Home page is an internal document I had to create before any business could be transacted. As you can see, after 30 years of communicating with client; preparing and e-filing tax returns; responding to the IRS compliance requirements; issuing bank products; offering rapid refunds; initiating direct deposits, we still require the document be completed before the tax filing process could start.  This rudimentary function was maintained, and the reason Comp-Consulting Business Solutions have never missed a tax season over the past 30 years. We continue to move forward.

        Also, I hired individuals from the community during the early years of the business operations. Throughout, the business was staffed with individuals' proficient and had workable customer service skills.  As a result, we gained the trust of preparing and electronic filing our clients' taxes; thus, working with our clients in their personal finances. Throughout, with the great staff as we hired within the community, we have seen many parents, sons and daughters and even some grands come through the doors of our company for service.

        I re-organized in 2022 and since moved into another market.  However, through the website are attached Financial Newsletters.  The newsletter is a monthly publication by Comp-Consulting in conjunction with Harvest Ministries (www.harvestministries.com).  Through these publications are business / tax related information and ministry topics covered primarily to inform our readers. You can expect to see similar monthly publications going forward.  So, there you have it. The meaning and substance behind our slogan for years: "Serving the City of Trenton and surrounding areas since 1994".
